Asian
“Hell” or “Heaven” notes, or “Joss paper.”
Set of 4 crisp uncirculated. In
some Asian cultures, offerings are burned to help speed the ascent of the
dead into heaven and pay for the needs of the departed. Rather than burning real money, they burn
symbolic money – the higher the denomination, the higher the offering. As a result, you will find very high
denominations at times. These are an
interesting collectible, and are the size of genuine currency. Unfortunately,
some dealers will mix these in with other currency for those “50 for $50”
type deals. Since these are not legal
tender, that’s not a fair way to sell them.
A fair way is to tell you what they’re all about, and offer them at a
cheap price rather than a rude surprise.
Set of 4 only $1. Set 1 (as pictured
above) Set 2

DISNEY
DOLLARS These
dollars are sold at theme parks and Disnet Stores, and have become very
collectible. Originally, they sold
only one design, but in recent years the Disney Company has issued various
designs for different parks and stores, and has used them to promote new movie
releases or re-releases of popular videos.
They are produced like regular currency, complete with security
features and serial numbers. They can
be used as $1 gift certificates at Disney properties, but in crisp and
uncirculated condition they are a very popular collectors’ item. I offer a few designs here. Serial numbers will vary, but consecutive
numbers may be available for multiple purchases – e-mail me if you are interested.. Front and back are shown in the photos.

Mouse 1999 series. Crisp,

Chicken
Little – 2005 series. Hard to find
bill promoting the Chicken Little movie – Disney’s foray into computer
animation that was supposed to show that they could get by without Pixar, but
it ended up showing how much they needed to keep Pixar in the Disney
family. Crisp, uncirculated. $5.
Dumbo
2005 series. Crisp, uncirculated. $3
