ANIMAL KINGDOM DISNEY CONSERVATION FUND 6 copper pennies from 2 machines – the 20th anniversary designs were modified to remove the anniversary legend. The 20th anniversary designs were available for less than a year (April to December 2018). The current penny press designs at those locations lack any Disney references (although retired machines at the Disney Springs location had Rainforest characters riding Disney attractions). Another Safari Pooh coin – which appears to be identical but has been assigned a different number by Presscoins.com – is still available at Curiosity Tourism (formerly Duka la Filimu). This set still includes Winnie the Pooh, pressed at Island Mercantile while this coin was current there. The newer set with the Frozen coin is available above (set #AK07A, now also retired).

AK13 7.50		HARAMBE RAILWAY STATION 3 pennies The waiting period for the train meant that the two train station machines were probably broken more than any other machines in this park. You can thank parents who let their children pound on buttons! The railroad and its station were closed in October 2018. This machine was moved outside the station. In late December 2018 it was reported missing and it is now confirmed to be retired. This entire machine was replaced in May 2022. The new set from this location is sold above (set AK42). AK15 $9.99		ANANDAPUR YAK & YETI RESTAURANT Yak & Yeti is not owned by Disney – it is owned and operated by Landry’s, Inc., which also owns the Rainforest Cafes and T-Rex restaurant at Disney World. Note that their penny presses do not incorporate Disney designs or characters. The Landry’s restaurants also have the only hand-crank 4-die machines in Animal Kingdom. AK39 $12.99		ANIMAL KINGDOM DINO INSTITUTE Complete set of 8 coins featuring characters from The Good Dinosaur, plus Caveman Mickey Mouse. Pressed on zinc pennies supplied by the machine. Copper is not available. Trivia: the Disney company helped Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry purchase the most complete (and expensive) T Rex fossil, now known as Sue. As a partial reward, Disney was presented a full-scale replica, which is displayed in Dinoland USA.
