JIM’S CHIP TRADES

CAESARS WINDSOR

June 23, 2008

After more than a year of construction and months of transition, on June 19, 2008 Casino Windsor finally was renamed as Caesars Windsor (note: no apostrophe in Caesars).  Expanded facilities were introduced over the months leading up to the new name.  New chips were put on the tables on June 17.

Regular chips:  There are no 25 cent chips.  I do not have the high value chips yet.  Here are $1 through $100:

Roulette chips: There are seven roulette tables.  Each is numbered with Roman numerals – table number I is in the high roller area, and tables II through VII are in the main gaming area.  Each of the seven tables uses seven different color chips: grey, orange, yellow, violet, indigo blue, lime green, and brown.

Baccarat: standard chips are used; they are not oversized, and not marked for the game.

Poker room: The poker room also uses standard chips.

Gift shop: the gift shop sells complete poker sets.  The chips are plastic and have the Caesars “head” logo.  They do not bear special Windsor markings, but are generic sets that are probably common to all Caesars properties.  The gift shop also sells sets of two decks of playing cards with generic Caesars logos.  They expect to sell game-used decks as well.

Grand Opening chips: no grand opening chips have been issued; it is not know whether any will be released.

Tokens: no tokens are used; all slot machines are “TITO” devices (ticket in – ticket out).
