2023 Our 2023 promotional give-away, free with every order: Castle penny with exclusive zzzcoins backstamp These coins pay tribute to a time (not too long ago) when guests at Disney parks were greeted with the words “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” Production notes: These were designed and rolled by Donald Cade and have been assigned ParkPennies #DT0030, and are #DC0081 in Don Cade’s personal catalog of creations. About 230 copper pennies were rolled, and 15 each of nickels, dimes and quarters. This is not necessarily a closed production run – more may be pressed later in 2023 if demand justifies it, but we intend to switch to a new design late in 2023 or early 2024. This is a lower production run than the zzzcoins monorail and Viewliner coins, reflecting evolving business conditions. 2022 ZZZCOINS 2022 EXCLUSIVE: THE VIEWLINER Disneyland Railroad operated the original narrow-gauge Viewliner Train of Tomorrow from June 10, 1957 to September 30, 1958. The two trainsets were designed by Disney legend Bob Gurr, based on the design of GM’s full-scale Aerotrain, a failed experiment with lightweight materials and ultra-streamlined surfaces designed to reduce costs and help keep passenger service alive as highways and car ownership were surging. We commissioned this coin to honor the legendary train. 25 denomination sets were produced with our exclusive backstamp (penny, nickel, dime, quarter) and an additional 275 pennies were also produced.
