IMPORTANT
NOTICE ABOUT SALES TAX AND
COMBINED
SHIPPING WHEN PLACING MULTIPLE ORDERS
This section contains a lot of details. We
believe you will better understand why sellers are compelled to adopt new rules
if we explain the marketplace changes that cause the new rules.
As of October 2025, we are no longer accepting
orders for shipment outside the United States due to unexpected surprises involving
tariffs (import duty). It seems tariff
amounts are changing on a weekly basis.
In addition, changes in the American practice mean duty is no longer
collected by the post office upon delivery, but must be prepaid by the seller
before the item can leave its home country’s postal system. Many shipping companies are charging fees as
“customs brokers” with no practical limits and no advance notice, and if a
seller or buyer does not pay them promptly the packages are being destroyed
rather than being returned to the sender.
We all lose money when that happens, so we have to pull the plug on international
transactions.
Sales tax will be refunded when a refund is
processed on Ebay sales. PayPal is not
currently charging sales tax, so refunds for website sales on ZZZCOINS.COM do
not involve sales tax or refunds of taxes.
EMAIL ME before completing the sale if you have
any questions. We will have options if you contact us before paying,
but we will only have explanations
after a sale has been processed.
COMBINED SHIPPING
These limits on refunds apply only when shipments can be combined. We often process orders quickly and mail them
to customers within hours, so a second order placed the same day may be shipped
separately and will not be eligible for combined shipping refunds.
In the past, if we received multiple orders
from the same buyer, each was assessed a pre-set shipping charge by the payment
systems (Ebay and PayPal). If 5 orders
were placed, 5 separate shipping charges were assessed. As a courtesy, we would combine shipping and
refund most or all of the multiple shipping payments.
Now, Ebay and PayPal will no longer waive or
rebate fees for sellers. Both charge
sellers for fees even if the buyer’s payment is fully or partially
refunded.
For refunds unrelated to combined shipping (for
example, items out of stock or order canceled), you will receive a full refund
without any offset. You may be contacted by Ebay to confirm a cancellation – please approve
it.
For refunds related to combined shipping, we
are forced to limit refunds in the following ways:
U.S. customers:
For Ebay purchases or orders
from our website, 50 cents will be
deducted from each refund to cover labor & fees. You can
avoid this by adding items to your cart and paying all at one time. If you do so, you will only be charged 10
cents for each additional lot on Ebay, and a flat shipping rate on our website.
OTHER REFUNDS
For refunds unrelated to
combined shipping (for example, items out of stock or order canceled), you will
receive a full refund without any offset.

SALES TAX IN THE U.S.A.
A majority of U.S. states are now imposing
sales tax on certain e-commerce sales to their states. There is still substantial uncertainty about
the process.
For Ebay
transactions, Ebay will automatically add the sales tax, when appropriate,
to invoices. Sellers will have no role
in the process. When buyers pay their
invoices, Ebay and the payment provider will arrange to skim off the sales tax
and remit it to the state. Those sales
taxes will never end up in the seller’s account, and thus you will not have to
rely on the honesty of the seller to pass those payments along to your state.
For orders
from our website, PayPal is not currently adding sales tax, so there is no
tax to be included in a refund.
For refunds,
PayPal is refunding sales tax that was paid to Ebay.
Some states charge
sales tax on the shipping charge in addition to the merchandise cost. As a result, if you are entitled to a partial
refund of shipping costs (see above section on Combined Shipping), PayPal is
refunding that portion of sales tax related to shipping that was paid to
Ebay.
EMAIL ME before completing the sale if you have
any questions. We will have options if you contact us before paying,
but we will only have explanations
after a sale has been processed.
