merely pressed on Lincoln cents, even though some Ebay sellers think that’s a worthwhile thing to
add to their descriptions |

ABRAHAM LINCOLN
BIRTHPLACE NATIONAL HISTORIC
PARK These two historic sites
are jointly run by the Park Service and some of their gift shop offerings are
interchangeable. During our August
2023 visit the high-relief token (KY24) – new to our website – was offered
only at the Birthplace. The other
token had been offered at the Birthplace in the past, but was only found at
the Boyhood Home on this recent visit.
High=relief token
from the Lincoln birthplace. Same
diameter as other national park tokens.
Both sides shown in photo. |
ABRAHAM LINCOLN
BOYHOOD HOME Hodgenville,
Kentucky
Standard national
park token from the Lincoln Boyhood Home (but designating the
Birthplace). Both sides shown in
photo. |
LINCOLN MUSEUM Hodgenville,
Kentucky
This
museum is located in the town nearest Lincoln's birthplace. Designs:
log cabin; Memorial at Lincoln’s Birthplace National Historic Park; Lincoln
standing statue; Lincoln seated statue. Complete set of 4
pressed on copper cents that have been cleaned and polished (an upgrade from
the blemished pennies we stocked before).
You may still see the Lincoln Memorial outlined slightly on the design
side.

NEW SALEM
HISTORIC SITE Petersburg/New
Salem, Illinois
This is a coin from a retired
single-die machine that was once found in New Salem and is now in private
hands. We were able to make arrangements
with the machine’s current owner to roll these on cleaned & polished
Canadian 1964 copper cents.

he was elected president, and he is buried in a local cemetery. The house is open for tours. |

set 3 - “mules” with backstamp |
LINCOLN
TOMB Single coin
from a one-die machine at the gift shop just outside the entrance to the
cemetery. Coins appear to have an oily
substance, probably from machine lubrication. I have cleaned these using a
dry cloth, but they have some remnants akin to fingerprints. The
coin has a backstamp “Lincoln Souvenir.”
Photo
also shows backstamp – you will receive 1 coin. |

HOT SPRINGS
NATIONAL PARK Hot Springs, Arkansas
We obtained these retired sets from the current owner of the
machine. The machine had been located
at the Hot Springs National Park Gifts & Souvenirs store. Designs: Razorback; President Clinton; view
of Hot Springs National Park. All roll
slightly short, cutting off border dots. Pressed on U.S. copper cents that have been professionaly cleaned and
polished.

CLINTON
PRESIDENTIAL CENTER Little Rock, Arkansas
The Clinton museum charges too much for poor quality coins - $1 each for
circulated zinc pennies. As a result, we have to charge more but made fewer
sets. Designs: Bill Clinton; Hillary
Clinton; Socks the cat; Presidential seal. Pressed on circulated zinc pennies supplied by the machine.
