In 2020 Disney’s penny vendor began retrofitting the 3-die machines with new mechanisms that dispense zinc pennies with a price point of $1. Copper cents are no longer available at the Magic Kingdom. The conversions were complete in 2021. Because the format of the coins has changed and copper is no longer available from the retrofitted machines, we have marked our copper cents as ‘retired.’ Almost all quarter machines throughout the property have also been retired.

MAGIC KINGDOM FIREHOUSE Dalmatians theme In February 2012 the machine shaped like a fire extinguisher was brought out of retirement and placed at the Studios. The three dies - all fire related themes or 101 Dalmatians - were replaced with other retired dies (after all, the dies used when the machine was at the Main Street fire house had "Magic Kingdom" banners on them). This machine was moved in 2013 to the Magic Kingdom - back to the firehouse. In December 2020 it was retrofitted to dispense zinc coins at a higher price point. The copper cents we are offering are now regarded as a retired format. Designs: Dalmatian puppy with fire helmet and bone; Pongo & Perdita; Dalmatian puppy.

TONY’S TOWN SQUARE RESTAURANT Lady & The Tramp theme Designs: Tramp, Lady, group shot (this is the current die [Presscoins #MK0168]; the old design with a line drawing [Presscoins #MK0106] is no longer available) In November 2020 this machine was retrofitted to distribute zinc pennies, and charge a dollar for each coin. As a result, copper cents are now unavailable at the park – but still available here as retired coins.

BACK IN STOCK ON ZINC TOY STORY SET OF 4 Our old sets on copper sold out. We now offer the same designs on zinc pennies. This new 8-die machine was first reported on April 20, 2023. There had been Tron machines at Hollywood Studios and Disneyland years earlier, but this is an all-new set. [Presscoins # WDW23082-23089]

TRON simulated arcade tokens When the Tron ride opened in April 2023 a set of 6 different arcade-style tokens for “Flynn’s Arcade” (from the movie) was offered in the gift shop. These are still available. Unlike the old Flynn’s Arcade tokens from California Adventure, these are oversized tokens that are around 30 mm, the size of a U.S. half dollar. A quarter dollar is shown for size comparison. The reverse has “Flynn’s Arcade,” and the fronts show 6 different graphic designs associated with the movies. Three coins have a nickel-silver finish, and three have a brass finish. They do not stick to a magnet. Sold as a complete set of 6. .

SPACE MOUNTAIN The 4-die penny set is sold out Set MK05 was the only dime machine at Disney World. It is now retired. The quarter machine was updated in 2013 to have 3 dies. All 3 quarters are included in this set: Space Mountain Mickey, Pluto & Goofy; Space Pluto [Presscoins #s: MK0184, MK0185] & the existing coin, Space Mickey [MK0131/DHS0059]. This set was retired in 2017. Although the arcade was closed in 2014/2015, all three machines remained available in the gift shop. The quarter machine was retired in 2017, though.

THIS JOINT IS HOPPIN’: TIANA SET REPLACES 2024 DESIGN AT MAGIC KINGDOM When a new 8-die machine was added at the Tiana ride in Magic Kingdom in 2024, the set included a coin with the 2024 date on it (Presscoins #WDW24085). In January 2025 the vendor replaced that outdated design. It took a while before anyone noticed (Presscoins didn’t report it until early May). We have the new set. Here’s the tricky part: the vendor had to re-engrave 4 dies on the machine (one die ring out of the two) for the new design. Presscoins has updated its listing to show that all 4 designs on that ring are renumbered. Old numbers WDW24083-24086 are now retired, replaced by: · WDW25033 (Louis the alligator, former WDW24083), · WDW25034 (Mama Odie, former WDW24084), · WDW25035 (new This Joint is Hoppin’ design), and · WDW25036 (former WDW24086, Bernadette, Beau & Mayra). The other die ring continues to have its old numbers as it did not need to be re-engraved. We are offering the entire set that includes one new design and three other renumbered re-engraved dies. We also have a limited number of the single redesigned coin for sale for those who do not want to repeat their numbers or have a complete set of the new die ring. To celebrate the new show, the old dies in the lobby were replaced with a new set of 8. These are rolled on zinc pennies supplied by the machine. Machine added in July 2024. Frontierland Restrooms machine combines retired Hotel Boulevard designs This machine popped up late in 2023, well after the closure of Splash Mountain and the relocation and (for some) retirement of its associated machines. The set incorporates three retired designs from Hotel Boulevard hotels : Presscoins #WDW18044 (Minnie Mouse, originally at B Resort & Spa); WDW18050 (Chip & Dale, originally at Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace); and WDW18039 (Mickey & Pluto, originally at Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista). PECOS BILL NEW IN JANUARY 2025 Two 3-die machines had been moved here after the closure of the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. Near the end of January those two machines were replaced by an 8-die machine featuring various Disney characters in western themes. These sets are uncharacteristically bad – most rolled off-center, and all rolled slightly short. We’re reducing the price as a result. We have only a few sets for now, but hope to stock better examples in a couple months. Four of the coins have “Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn” in their design. SPLASH MOUNTAIN PHOTO PREVIEW Splash Mountain Photo Preview set of 3. This machine is found in the long corridor connecting the Splash Mountain exit to the Splash store, in the area where guests can view their photo on the ride. This machine was retrofitted in November 2020 to dispense zinc coins and charge a higher price. As a result, we consider our copper pennies to be a retired format. FRONTIERLAND ARCADE The machines at the shooting gallery have been stable for the past ten years or so. There are 2 machines with a total of 6 designs: a cowboy-themed machine, and one with classic characters. These machines were changed to dispense zinc pennies at a higher price point. Both machines were placed at Pecos Bill’s when the arcade was closed in 2023 or 2024, and both machines were retired in January 2025 when an 8-die machine was placed at the restaurant instead. “AD/LIB” – ADVENTURELAND & LIBERTY SQUARE

HALL OF PRESIDENTS EXIT NEW COIN IN 2024 Magic Kingdom This location has several names – Hall of Presidents exit; Liberty Square Ticket Office; Heritage House. The machine is located in the walkway between the Hall of Presidents exit and the Sleepy Hollow food booth dining area. The three coins celebrating 100 Years of Wonder were replaced by one new design (Hatbox Ghost, Presscoins #WDW24024 – sure to be popular) and two old designs (the steam boat and Hall of Presidents, Presscoins #MK0197 & MK0198). This is the complete set of 3 from this machine, rolled on shiny zinc pennies supplied by the machine. They are very robust pressings – well-centered with full images and borders. VERANDAH BREEZEWAY - RETIRED Includes one Frozen coin (Olaf), plus two long-time Adventureland designs: Jungle Cruise and Adventureland logo. In 2016 Disney parks underwent an anti-gun crusade, removing guns from the gift shops (including pirate guns) and banning costumes with guns. In November this purge caught up to the penny press machines and the Adventureland design with Mickey holding a rifle was removed from this machine. This set includes the retired gun design. Both machines in the Verandah Breezeway were removed in late 2016. This machine returned in January 2017 with the Grumpy coin – retired from Sir Mickey’s a few years ago – replacing the dated coin that replaced the gun coin. In October 2020 the machine was replaced with an 8-die zinc-only machine. All the various versions of this machine (available in these listings) are now retired.

VERANDAH BREEZEWAY – ALSO RETIRED The Verandah Breezeway is a walkway that connects Adventureland and Frontierland. It currently houses a single penny press (and the only change machine at Disney World that gives you pennies with your quarters). The dies have changed in recent years. The pennies all had Adventureland designs, but currently they depict Grumpy (this coin had spent many years at Sir Mickey’s in Fantasyland), Jungle Cruise, and Olaf from Frozen.
