of Discovery is close to the Clinton Presidential Center, so they figure that
can charge too much for their coin, too.

military base where his father served.

INLAND MARITIME MUSEUM North Little Rock, Arkansas Two WW2 ships are featured on designs at this museum: USS Razorback
submarine and USS Hoga, a tugboat that helped fight fires during the Peaarl

MISSOURI PEWTER SHILLING
The
third installment in the now-annual shilling series! This one features a shilling reverse with
the CSNS logo, and a well-crafted St. Louis Arch (“Gateway Arch” design on
the front. We had to pay more for
these this year due to increasing costs of the component metals in the
pewter. These
were handmade at the show. They show
individual variations and imperfections.
Both sides shown in photo. The
prior years’ Pine Tree and Nebraska shillings are available on our Clubs/Shows page. Next year’s shilling is expected to honor
Michigan. |
USA 250 ELONGATED COINS FROM MISSOURI CLUB
I was able
to roll two designs at the Missouri Numismatic Society’s penny press during
the CSNS show. This is the 250th
anniversary design, available on partially cleaned wheat pennies or on AU/BU
nickels. The Missouri club will be
rolling these on regular pennies at their convention in August 2026, and they

at the space center visitor center. Both
have the same “Space Center Houston” reverse.
Set #1 features Apollo 11, Mission
Mars; mockup Shuttle Independence (formerly Explorer) and the Boeing 747 transport plane (NASA 905), and Shuttle Endeavor in the
launch position. The medallions are the approximate
size of an old silver dollar and may have “bag marks” from the manufacturing
and shipping process. The coins have a
